Japanese Knotweed Surveys and Control
In the course of our work we have come across Japanese Knotweed in a wide range of situations and using
our past experience we can offer a service to survey for and implement control measures against this noxious
weed.
Japanese Knotweed grows rampantly and can invade, suppress and wipe out valuable landscape plantings. It
can causes serious structural damage to roads, footpaths, car parks and buildings. If left unchecked it can clog
water courses and may cause flooding.
Japanese Knotweed can be a significant problem on development sites as it needs to be disposed of
properly and this can cause delays in the development process if the problem is not identified and dealt with in
good time.
The Wildlife and Countryside Act makes it an offence to spread Japanese Knotweed.
As a 'waste' product it must be disposed of properly and should only be carried by approved and licenced
waste carriers. Our associate companies hold valid waste carrier licences.
