The Midsummer Place Oak Tree

Our staff pleased to have been associated with the retention of the Central Milton Keynes Oak Tree within the new development for the extension of the Shopping Building. The photograph above shows the tree,

which is in the region of 150 years old and the subject of a tree preservation order, before the new development. Our staff were involved in the planning process and assisted with the production of the working methods to assimilate the tree into the new development.

During the construction phase they visited the site at weekly intervals to oversee the protection works. In addition we were present on site, with a watching brief whenever works were undertaken close to the tree. They liaised with the developer’s site manager to ensure that the tree received appropriate protection at all stages of the work.
