The Tree Protection Plan
This plan identifies the trees which are to
be retained and those which are to be removed, in the manner prescribed in BS 5837.
It also includes specific and to scale
detail on how the retained trees are to be protected during the construction process. Dealing in detail with
the Tree Protection Fencing and the construction exclusion zone notices.
Furthermore it will state that all of the
content of the Arboricultural
Method Statement shall be incorporated into subsequent drawings and method statements used
for design and construction purposes or issued for use on site, to ensure that all involved and interested
parties are fully aware of the areas in which access and works may and may not take place and so that they
are briefed and made aware of the protective measures which we have
specified.
The Tree Protection Plan is a very important document
whose recommendations should be followed in order to adequately protect the trees which are to be retained on
the site.
