Tree Risk Assessments and Valuations

We can provide a written tree risk assessment or a tree valuation for the owners of any tree who are concerned about tree safety, or want to make application for tree works on protected trees.

Typical clients are Local Authorities who want to make sure their trees are safe, Housing Assocations who have similar needs but also make wish to respond appropriately to enquiries from residents regarding the safety of particular trees, Insurance Companies and Building Surveyors who want information about trees which are close to built structures and of course private tree owners who have concerns regarding their trees.

The tree valuation side of the business is useful when one needs to justify the retention or removal of any tree.

We work with several different systems and choose the one most suitable for the clients requirements.

Generally the trees are inspected visually and any obvious defects are recorded. The scale of any problems and the amount of risk are then identified and by the use of the various procedures we can determine the appropriate risk factor for each subject tree and are able then to advise the client accordingly.

In order to comply with the tree owners duty of care to others we will recommend a timescale for repeat inspections which is meaningful and cost effective.
